The Save Sunshine Shelter Kids mobile app makes it quick and easy to communicate with your sponsored child(ren). With various features, you can engage on a deeper level—receive updates, exchange messages, send gifts, and more.
Though you may be worlds apart, the Save Sunshine Shelter Kids app brings you closer, anytime, anywhere
Through child profiles, you can view personal details, learn their stories, track school progress, browse photos, send messages, and explore giving opportunities. The chat feature lets you instantly share messages and photos with your sponsored child. Explore where your child lives, the local time, weather, and the mission of Save Sunshine Shelter Kids through the "About Uganda" feature.
Your username is the email you registered for sponsorship.
Tip: Make sure there are no extra spaces when entering your email!
Your password will be sent to you via email when you sign up to be a sponsor. Already a sponsor? Check your inbox—we sent your password when the app launched or when you applied to sponsor a child.
No problem! Select “Forgot Password” on the app's login screen, enter your registered email, and we’ll send you a new one.
Once logged in, select “Menu” at the bottom right of the navigation bar, and then choose “Change Password.”
Go to “Menu” in the bottom right of the navigation bar, click the pencil icon next to your name and email, and then update your photo using the camera icon.
No, our Child representatives facilitate communication to ensure messages are appropriate and safe. During social worker visits, your child will receive and respond to your messages.
Expect a response within a month. Send your messages by the 15th, and your child will reply by the first week of the next month.
Use the back arrow in the top left of the Home Screen or select “Menu” at the bottom right, and then choose “My Sponsored Children.”
Click the Ugandan flag in the top right corner of the Home Screen to see local weather, stats, and more. Go to our website and click "About Uganda" as well, there is more information.
The feature requires you to enable location access for the app. Update this setting in your phone’s settings under Save Sunshine Shelter Kids App.
